Marilyn Pendolino Kurtzman

Marilyn Pendolino Kurtzman age 67 of Massillon passed away Thursday May 24, 2007 at Affinity Medical Center-Massillon Campus. Marilyn was born April 15, 1940 in Massillon to the late Anthony & Elvira (Santilli) Pendolino. She was a 1958 graduate of Washington High School and a member of the Massillon Choir. Marilyn had worked for the Massillon Clerk of Courts for 18 years and for the Stark County Board of Elections for 12 years. She served on the Massillon Park Board, volunteered at the Attic Resale shop of Massillon Community Hospital, and served as secretary of the Italian American Women's Auxiliary. At St. Mary's school, Marilyn served as the secretary of the PTO and managed the Sunday Donut program. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, and socializing with family and friends. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She leaves her husband of 34 years, John L. Kurtzman, as well as two daughters and sons-in-laws; Kristy and Eddie Pena of Littleton, Colorado and Kelly and Troy Koenig of Ostrander, Ohio. She adored her five grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with Grace and Zachary Koenig and Carlos, Ella & Sergio Pena. Marilyn leaves two brothers Frank Pendolino of Massillon and Anthony and his wife, Karen Pendolino and their son Philip of Wooster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 A.M. Tuesday, May 29th at St. Mary Catholic Church, with Fr. Edward Gretchko officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call Monday, May 28th at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon from 2 - 4 P.M. and 6 - 8 P.M.
