Marilyn P. Phillips, 73 of Jackson Township, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016. Marilyn was born on February 10, 1943 in Massillon the daughter of the late William and Miriam (Kelley) Gore. She was a 1961 graduate of Central Catholic High School. Marilyn retired from Shady Hollow Country Club as the secretary/receptionist. She enjoyed collecting antiques, crafts and painting. She was a devoted lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, William J. Gore. She is survived by her loving husband Terence W. Phillips, with whom she celebrated 49 years on July 22nd; her sons, Terence W. (Angie) Phillips Jr. and Jimmy A. (Amy) Phillips; grandchildren, Nolan, Nathan, Natalie, Ali and Jake; and her brother, John Gore. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Ed Gretchko of St. Mary's Church and concelebrated by Fr. Tom Bishop and will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, 127 Cherry Rd. NE, Massillon. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either: The Lupus Foundation of America, www.lupus.org or The American Heart Association, www.heart.org .
