Marilyn Jane Saylor

Marilyn Jane Saylor, 92, of Massillon, passed away on January 28, 2023.

She was born on August 25, 1930 to the late Leonard and Edith (Bryan) Adams in Canton. Jane was a graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1948.

She was a member of Faith Community Fellowship. She taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Bible Study, Childrens Church, helped with funeral dinners and helped with many other church activities at various churches. Jane was always baking or cooking for church, friends or family. Jane was the foundation of her family. She can best be described as a woman of great strength, selfless, funny, kind, loved to dance, and a lover of Jesus putting her faith above all things. She endured her physical illness with grace and dignity.

Jane is survived by her loving children, Barbara (Kim) Watts, Teresa Scharon and David (Cheryl) Saylor; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Dot Sonnhalter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Saylor; daughter, Kathy Doherty; and a brother, Dan Adams.

A private gathering was held by family.
