Marilyn A. Ries

Marilyn A. Ries, 81, passed away Wednesday morning, April 24, 2013 following a brief illness. She was born on June 27, 1931 in Massillon to the late Ralph & Frances (Snyder) Flounders. Marilyn attended First Baptist Church, Massillon, and she retired from Ecko in 1993. She enjoyed people and never knew a stranger, loved to read and watching the downtown concert series. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon ( Mark) Southall of Massillon, Susan Curran of Dover, two sons, James (Lorrene) Ries and Mike Ries both of Massillon, eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, four brothers, Bob Flounders of North Canton, Jim & Charles Flounders both of Massillon, Jerry Flounders of Houston, Texas, and two sisters, Gloria Mahaffey of North Canton & Donna Baughman of Massillon. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Flounders and her sister, Doris Blackburn. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11:00AM, Dr. Roger Alber, Officiating. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
