Surrounded by her family, Mariette C. (Bruhl) Bruwier, age 92, passed away peacefully in her home and entered into Eternal Life. Born in Liége, Belgium to the late Hubertine (DeHesselle) and Charles Bruhl. Known to friends as "Mayou", she came to America in 1954 and resided in Navarre. She and her late husband of 61 years, Lucien Bruwier, both worked and retired from Nickles Bakery. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Margie (Horn) Bruwier, and her granddaughter, Ramona A. Bruwier. She is survived by her son, Francis (Wanda) Bruwier; her grandchildren; Daniel C. Bruwier, Jr., Jennifer (Brian) Best, Nicole (Jon) Mercer, Jayne (Roman) Hazzard, Adrienne (Dexter) Ehmer, Elise (Josh) Boggs; 14 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; and her special kitty, ZuZu, who never left her side. Marraine will be remembered for her Tropicana roses, French songs, romance novels, Leesville Lake getaways, her wonderful cooking, the M&M candy jar, and her unwavering devotion to her family. Á demain, Marraine! Je t'aime! Calling hours will be Monday, February 6, from 1:00-2:00PM at Paquelet, 1100 Wales Rd NE, Massillon, with a service at 2:00PM. Burial to immediately follow at St. Clement's Cemetary in Navarre.
