June 4, 1928 — February 24, 2010

Marie Louise (Hewitt) Weaver, 81, of Massillon passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at her residence with her husband at her side. She was born June 4, 1928 in Akron, OH the daughter of the late Guy and Opal (Woomer) Hewitt. Marie was a graduate of North High School in Akron, and attended the Actual Business College. She was employed as a secretary at the Bell Telephone Co., and was most recently employed by the former First National Bank (Manchester office). Marie was a member of First United Methodist Church in Massillon. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, and playing bridge. Marie will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. On May 15, 1948 Marie married Millard “M.L.” Weaver and he survives along with their children Linda (Gary) Seaver of Canal Fulton, and Gary (Jane) Weaver of Gahanna, OH; grandchildren Shaun and Shannon Seaver, Elizabeth, Michael, and Rebecca Weaver; great-granddaughter Brooklyn Seaver; sister Karen (Terry) Brooks of Arlington, TX. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Robert Hudson. Funeral services will be Monday March 1, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE where the family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Rev. Les Peine will officiate. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Marie’s memory may be given to the American Cancer Society, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
