Marie A. Devaughn

Marie A. DeVaughn, age 82 of Massillon, died Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at Affinity Medical Center-Doctor’s Campus following an extended illness. She was born on January 29, 1926 in Cairo, WV and was the daughter of the late Emery and Josephine (Melvin) McClaskey. She was an area resident for most of her life. In 1991 she retired from the former Perry Rubber. She was a member of Anchor Baptist Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard K. DeVaughn in 1981, 4 brothers and 5 sisters. She is survived by her sons, Terry (Loretta) DeVaughn of Perry Township and Larry DeVaughn of Corpus Christi, TX, her grandchildren, Terry (Jenny) DeVaughn, Jr., Sherrie (Todd) Irwin, Sarah (Shawn) Arbuckle and Dustin DeVaughn, her great grandchildren, Andrew, Molly and Emilee, her sisters, Margie (Doc) Weiford of Massillon and Twila McClaskey of Massillon and her brother, Don McClaskey of Massillon. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 1:00 P.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in Massillon Cemetery.
