Marian M. Dettweiler

Marian M. Dettweiler, age 79 of Navarre, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2007 at Aultman Hospital. She was born on June 24, 1928 in Massillon to the late John and Sadie Hattery. Marian was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a 1946 graduate of Washington High School. Marian married Gene D. Dettweiler in 1949. She attended Bethel Baptist Church in Canton and loved reading her Bible. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene D. Dettweiler in 1997, her infant son, Tommy Ray, her daughter, Ruby Sue, two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her daughters; Cathy Duff of Navarre, Malinda (Henry) Millard of Massillon and Carla (Richard) Gold of Corpus Cristy, TX, sons; John (Bonnie) Dettweiler of Blasdale, NY, Harry (Christina) Dettweiler of Beach City and David (Trenna)Dettweiler of Canton and her brother, Willard Hattery of MI, 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 P.M. Marian’s brother-in-law, Rev. Henry Dettweiler will be Officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
