Maria Marjay

Maria Marjay, age 91 of Dover, formally of Thousand Oaks, CA passed away Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Amherst Meadows in Massillon. Maria was born on September 11, 1920 in Bodzsas, Hungary the daughter of the late Antal and Anna (Bugyi) Veres. Maria worked at Aerojet General as a designer of nose cone rocket parts in Nimbus, CA for many years and also co-owned and operated Mission Motel in Long Beach, CA. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Leslie Marjay in 2001, her daughter Maria Marjay – Ross and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son Leslie (Mary) Marjay of Massillon, her grandchildren, Thomas A. Marjay of Massillon, Lisa M. (Rodney) Sommers of Dover, Bryan A. (Jennifer) Marjay of MS, Helena (Martin) Huber-Ross, of Austria, Alex Ross of San Francisco, Xye (Prau) Ross of Thailand and Ted (Kellye) Ross of Los Angeles, CA and 13 great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. at the Paquelet and Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Fr. Robert Miller will be officiating.
