Maria Heltai Sera

Maria Heltai Sera, 95, of Massillon, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2020. Maria was born on August 4, 1924 in Kormend, Hungary, the daughter of Joseph and Maria (Kovacs) Heltai. She was a nurse in Hungary during WWII. She and her family moved as refugees to Canton in December of 1956. Two or three years later she got a job at Aultman Hospital and retired after 25 years of service. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph and Laszlo Heltai. She is survived by her daughters, Erika (Jim) Postlewaite, and Eva (Donald) Burger; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Sherry) Postlewaite, and Michael (Beth) Postlewaite, and Brian (Erin) Burger, Daniel (Taylor) Burger, and Marie (Dave) Zito; great grandchildren, Clay, Ryan, Adam, Addison, Samuel, Brady, Amelia, Brynn, Parker, Sydney, and Anthony.
