Margaretta “Corky” Frankeberger, age 90 of South Euclid, OH passed away on May 07, 2018. She was born in Massillon, OH on January 22, 1928 to the late Jim and Rhea Swihart. She was a 1946 graduate of Washington High School, where she was in the Tiger Swing Band under George “Red” Bird. She married Gilbert W. Frankeberger and they shared almost 50 years until his passing in 2001. Corky’s musical career included; Musical Majorette with the Cleveland Browns, Hormel Girl’s Radio Show and Freddie Schaffer’s All-Girl Orchestra. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gil and Margarita Frankeberger and her grandsons Spencer and Hunter Frankeberger. She was preceded in death by her brother Jimmy and her sister Phyllis. A Celebration of Corky’s life will be held at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11a.m. The family will receive friends from 10a.m. until the time of the service.
