Margaret Mary (“Peggy”) Warth , age 84,died Wednesday, November 11 from natural causes. She was born in Cleveland and raised in Massillon, known mostly as a junior high and high school home economics teacher at Massillon Washington High School and E.A. Jones Junior High. She was active in various organizations during her later years, including the Massillon Woman’s Club and Stark County Retired Teachers Association as well as serving in various positions with the St. Joan of Arc Altar and Rosary Society. She is a lifetime member of Kappa Delta Pi, an education honorary, as well as Ohio Education Association and the National Education Association . She was awarded a masters degree from the Ohio State University and a bachelors degree from Kent State University. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Clement T. and Marie K. Warth, both of Massillon, as well as several cousins in the area. Survivors include her sister Patricia Beck of Perry Township, her brother and sister-in-law Clement T.Warth (Jean) of Massillon, a great-nephew Edward Beck, a niece Margaret (Peggy) Marie Beck, and three nephews, Kenny Warth, Jerry Warth, and R. Beck. The family wishes to thank the incredible staff at Altercare of Nobles Pond for their spectacular work over the last 24 months, as well as Dr. Elena Norch and her staff. They also wish to express deep appreciation to the Hospice team of Mercy Medical Center. Visitation will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Church, with a committal service to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
