Margaret R. Drew, age 87 of Massillon, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2013 at her residence. She was born on November 15, 1925 in North Lawrence and was the daughter of the late George and Mary Johnson. Margaret was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Washington High School, where she was a member of the marching band under George "Red" Bird. She was an avid sports fan and loved the Tigers. Her hobbies included crocheting and traveling, but she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Drew in 1968, her sisters, Noreen Bursey, Wilda Stanford and Goldie Hibbard, her brother Wesley Herbst and her longtime companion Earl Garman. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Greg and Cindy Drew, Tom and Hallie Drew, Molly and Nick Pribich and Melinda and Ted Bruey. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and her brother, Ivan Johnson. Her funeral will take place on Friday at 10:00 A.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Whittenberger officiating. Burial will follow at Newman's Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 P.M. and on Friday one hour before the service from 9-10 A.M.
