Margaret ‘Peg’ Fries-Hicks age 61 of Massillon passed away Thursday June 5, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center. Peg was born November 20, 1946 in Canton to the late Clifford & Helen (Heiman) Fries. She was a life resident of Massillon and a 1964 graduate of Central Catholic High School. Peg was a long time employee of MCA Inc. and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. In her youth she was involved in a terrible accident with years of surgeries. She emerged as a person of deep faith and personal strength. With her deep faith and strength she was able to overcome much adversity in her life. Peg loved music, theaters and Branson, MO. She enjoyed her time near the water, especially reading a book. Peggy is survived by her sister, Theresa (Ed) Albaugh-Reardon; brothers, Richard (Karen) Fries and Deacon Joseph (Kathy) Fries and seven nieces, nephews and eight grand nieces and grand nephews. A Memorial Mass will be 10 AM Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Massillon. Friends are invited to share memories with the family on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. The procession to Sunset Hills Memory Garden will form at the church.
