Margaret 'Margie' Ann Maylor, 88, of Massillon, departed this life on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. Margie was born on September 3, 1936 to Michael and Jeannette (DiLoretto) Porrini.
Margie was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1954 graduate of Brewster High School. She worked for Superior Brand Meats for a short period of time, where she met her late husband, Robert. She was an avid and talented bowler for over 30 years. She loved boating at Turkeyfoot Lake with her family and friends. Her dedication to her children and her grandchildren was unwavering, much like a Tigress with her cubs. It defined her purpose on this Earth. She embraced it whole heartedly. Her greatest passion in life in addition to her family, was Massillon Tiger Football. She was a 60 plus year booster and season ticket holder. Her fierce loyalty to the program spilled over to her children and grandchildren still today. It will forever be Massillon always to her.
She is survived by her children, Rob (Renee) Maylor, Annette (Dave) Hoffman, and Dina (John) Doyle; grandchildren, Robb (Morgan) Maylor, Kaylee (Mike) McAtee, Anthony Maylor, Kari (Roberto) Arguello, and Ryan Hoffman; great-grandchildren, twins, Parker and Sullivan McAtee; Hazel Margaret Maylor, Remi Arguello, and twins Rosi and Riley Arguello; sister, Lauretta Gerber; and her Umbrella Cockatoo, Sugar Maylor.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Maylor, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage before his passing.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 6-8 pm and on Thursday from 10-11 am. A Celebration of Margie's life will be held on Thursday at 11 am. Please wear your Tigers gear or orange and black. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Stark County Humane Society. Messages of comfort and support may be sent to the family at www.paquelet.com.
