Margaret M. ‘Margie’ Gallimore

Margaret M. ‘Margie’ Gallimore, age 90 of Massillon, passed away June 11, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. Margaret was born December 30, 1919 in Massillon to the late George & Carrie (McKnight) Wagoner. She was a 1937 graduate of Washington High School and attended Kent State University. She played the organ at the former Oriole Home (Massillon); and was part of the family business at Victorian Reflections (Belden Village). Margie will be remembered as a very warm, gracious Lady. She would make everyone she met feel welcome with a smile and a hug. Her talents include being an artist and making jewelry. Margie was honored for her paintings and Scrimshaw artistry. Her family will remember the music and laughter she brought to all family gatherings. Margie is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon and St. George Byzantine Romanian Catholic Cathedral in North Canton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Harvey Dale Jones (1989) , Clarence ‘Joe’ Gallimore (2008); two sisters, Clementine Melchoir, Mary Rita Wagoner; two brothers Joseph Wagoner and Delbert Wagoner. Margaret will be deeply missed by her four daughters and sons in law, Rita & William Haines Sr. of Perry Twp., Judith & Stuart Spangler of Jackson Twp., Lynda & Patrick Jones of South Windsor, CT and Martha Polnik of Jackson Twp.; two step-children, Kevin Gallimore of FL and Kathy Albright of Akron and there are many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 10 AM Tuesday at St. George Byzantine Romanian Catholic Cathedral in North Canton the Rev. Fr. Ovidiu Marginean will officiate. Her final resting place will be Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends are invited to call 6-8 PM Monday at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon, a Saracusta Service will be at 7:30 PM.
