Margaret Irene Stauffer, 91 of Massillon, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017. Margaret was born in Massillon on March 23, 1926 the daughter of the late Lloyd and Anna (Kiehl) Bushman. Margaret was a 1944 graduate of Washington High School. Margaret was a beautician for many years and owned her own salon. She also worked as a supervisor for O’Neils, and helped open the Canton store retiring after 17 years of service. She was a member of Epworth U.M.C. and spent a lot of time with the ‘Epworth Craft Circle’. Margaret was the choir director for both Epworth U.M.C. and Peace U.M.C in Louisville. She loved spending time with her family and couples card club for the past 70 years. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Stauffer and George Stauffer, and brothers, Don, Jim and Bill Bushman. She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Messerly and Jackie Burkhart; grandchildren, Laura (Craig) Sampsel, Michael (Wimberly Scarbrough) Esterline, Lisa Jones and Stephen (Janette) Lloyd; 7 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Margaret’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. before the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either Epworth U.M.C. or Perry Christian Church.
