Margaret I. Shoemaker

Margaret I. Shoemaker, age 89 of Massillon, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at the Legends Care Center of Massillon. She was born in Gallia County, Ohio on February 2, 1921 and was the daughter of the late William J. and Ethel M. (Lanthorn) Eblin. She lived many years in the Columbus and Circleville areas before moving to Massillon 13 years ago. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles William Davis and Robert E. Shoemaker, her brothers, Lando and William Eblin and her sister Marjorie Waugh. She is survived by her son, William C. Davis of Spirit Lake, WA, her grandchildren, William Scott Davis of Massillon and Carey Ann (David) Campbell of Richville, her great grandchildren, Clay Davis, Cade Campbell and Drew Campbell, her daughter in law, Patricia A. Davis of Massillon, her sister Catherine Little of Gallipolis, OH and her nieces and nephews, Dorreen Zimmer, Chris (Dale) Fields, Debbie (Kenny) Ashley and Traci (Dave) Blair. Funeral services will take place on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Chaplain James Scalf officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estates in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 P.M. and on Friday one hour before the service.
