July 24, 1945 — March 4, 2020

Margaret H. Brown (Palmer), longtime resident of Massillon, OH passed away on March 4, 2020 in Wilmington, NC. Margaret, known affectionately to her grandchildren as “Mo”, and to her friends as “Downtown Margaret Brown” was born in Dover, OH on July 24, 1945. She is preceded in passing by her mother Margaret Louise Palmer, her sister Leslie Ann Speck, and her beloved daughter Darcine ‘Darci’ Marie Phillips (Brown). She is survived by her daughter Suzanne E. Brown and son-in-law J. Craig Bailey (Wilmington, NC) as well as her brother and sister-in-law Robert and Becky Palmer (Massillon, OH). In addition, the following grandchildren: Margaret Ann ‘Maggie’ Ruby (Barberton, OH), Christian Charles Ruby (Canton, OH), Noah Robert Phillips (Massillon, OH), Garett Baker and family (Johnstown, PA), and Camden Grace Bailey (Wilmington, NC). Margaret was a avid reader and loved cheering on her Fighting Irish and Buckeyes in football. She loved to cook and spend time with her family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you contribute to charities that Margaret supported in life: St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and those that support the welfare of Vietnam veterans. Arrangements are pending and will be updated at a later date.
