Margaret E. Ward

Margaret E. Ward, 81, of Canton, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Care Center in Louisville with her husband by her side. She was born on May 28, 1936 in Canton, Ohio to the late Stephen Domonkos and Theresa Soos. Margaret married Walter E. Ward on September 14, 1957. They just celebrated 60 loving years together. Margaret was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and previously worked as a secretary for over 20 years at United Bank. In her spare time, Margaret enjoyed reading, ceramics and traveling with her husband to the Outer Banks. Margaret’s greatest passion in life was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her family. Margaret is survived by her husband Walt, daughters Pam (Dale) Rutar, Kim (Karl) Roshong and Lisa (James) George; grandchildren Stephanie (Ryan) Lanier, Kelly Trnian, Sgt. James (Brazillia) George, Karl Roshong Jr., and Kraig Roshong; great-grandchildren Phoebe Lanier, Caleb Lanier, Madelyn Lanier, Eli George, Mia George and Scotty George. She is preceded in death by her two sisters Barbara Vogley and Catherine Domonkos. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 2nd from 5-7 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral in Massillon. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 3rd at 11 a.m at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
