Marcia Mae King

Marcia Mae King, 74, of Massillon, passed away peacefully at home on December 16, 2022.

She was born on September 5, 1948 to the late Eddie and Lillian (Long) King in Massillon.

Marcia was a graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1966 and attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was dedicated to her daughter, family, and especially her daily long phone conversations with her sister. Marcia enjoyed cooking and family gatherings. She loved to solve crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. She was her family's go-to for all informational things and was the family historian. Marcia enjoyed her daily soaps, police dramas, reality programs and foreign murder mysteries. Her special joy was the visits from her nieces and nephews.

Marcia is survived by her loving daughter, Deanna L. King; her sister, Jenny C. Terrell; special nieces, Tyra Collins and Aundra Grant; her loving nieces, nephews, great-grand nieces and nephews; great-great-grand nieces and nephews; and great-great-great grand nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Cornelia King, Edward J. King, Master Sergeant, United States Air Force - retired, Dezell R. Houston, Henry P. King and Emlin C. King I.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2022, 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Friendship Baptist Church , Massillon. A Home Going Celebration will be held at 11:00 am with Dr. Walter Arrington officiating. Burial will follow in the Massillon Cemetery .

Memorials are suggested to the St. Jude Children's Hospital and American Cancer Society.
