Marcia K. Champoir

Marcia K. Champoir, 78 of Massillon, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017. Marcia was born on October 23, 1938 in Canton, the daughter of the late Howard and Mary Jane (Fulton) Speicher. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1956 graduate of Washington High School. She was an avid Massillon Tigers fan, only missing 10 games in over 50 years. Marcia spent much of her time helping to raise her grandchildren and caring for many other children in her home. She rarely missed any of her children or grandchildren's activities. Marcia enjoyed traveling to Europe with her husband, and vacationing in Myrtle Beach with her entire family. She is survived by her husband, David L. Champoir, whom she married on August 18, 1956; her children, Lori (Roy) Bair, Michael (fiancée Bethany Benedict) Champoir, Lisa (Robert) Laird, and Doug (Abbe) Champoir; grandchildren, David, Rachael, Delaney, Mason, Madison, and Gillian; and sisters, Charlene (Henry) Baus and Sondra (Jim) Price.
