Marcella M Johnson

Marcella M. Johnson, 91, of Massillon, passed away on August 25, 2022 at Aultman Hospital. She was born on January 22, 1931 to the late Leo and Margaret (McCarthy) Eberhardt in Massillon, OH. She was a proud member of the last graduating class of Mount Marie Academy in 1949. She married Charles E. Johnson on November 26, 1952 and they shared 62 years together until his passing in 2014 Marcella worked as a Homemaker who took care of raising her family. She was a woman of strong faith and was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was an avid reader, enjoyed fishing and spending time at her cottage. Marcella is survived by her children Pat (Lori) Johnson, Michael A. (Darlene) Johnson, Karla A. (Donald) Diglaw, and Marcie M.(Mike) Morris; her grandchildren Michael Johnson, Amber (Britton) Diller, Bryan (Ashley) Johnson, Kristina (Matt) Finley, Kodi (James) Diglaw, and Moriah (Matthew) Diglaw; great-grandchildren Dominic, Karter, Aiden, Sebastian, Eliana, and Nora; her sister-in-law and lifelong friend Martha Eberhardt as well as a host of family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Marcella was preceded in death by her siblings Leo Eberhardt, Carolanne Kemp, Mary K. Brahm, and Therese Rohr. A Celebration of Marcella's life will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11a.m. Father Edward Gretchko will be officiating. The family will recieve friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 6-8p.m. and 10 - 11 a.m. on Friday. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Marcella's name can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
