Marcella M. Fisher, age 83, peacefully departed this life on October 7th 2010 surrounded by her loving family at Affinity Medical Center in the care of Community Hospice. Marcella was born January 23rd 1927 in Massillon, to the late John and Olga (Sonnenberg) Wetzel. She was married to her devoted husband of 64 years, Richard H Fisher on May 25th 1946. Richard and Marcella often recounted a life blessed with marvelous memories and extraordinary travels. Marcella also cherished the nights she spent out dancing with Dick as a member 20/30 Club, as well as, regularly hosting and entertaining her friends, especially her card club. Her life was committed to selflessly caring for her family, friends, dogs, and helping out with the family business. Marcella and Dick started Dick’s Flower Shop in 1947 retiring in 2000. She also spent her life in service of the Lord and was a long time member of the congregation at St. Josephs Catholic church. She was devout in her faith. Marcella’s memory will endure through her devoted family; husband, Dick Fisher; her daughters, Katherine A. Fisher of Massillon, Mary Elizabeth (Jeff) Parrish of Powell, OH; and her grandchildren, Jeffrey Lynn Parrish Jr. of Massillon and Jason Richard Parrish of Fort Myers, Florida. She will also be missed by many cherished family friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 AM Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at Massillon Cemetery.
