Marcedes S. Highben

Marcedes S. Highben, age 87 of Massillon passed away surrounded by her loving family on March 23, 2018. She was born in Bolivar, OH on July 23, 1930 to the late David and Elma McBeth. She married Ernest A. Highben on September 12, 1948 and they shared nearly 70 years together and he survives. Marcedes was a homemaker and was a Massillon Tigers Football fan, an avid reader, collected dolls, but most importantly she enjoyed spending time with and taking care of her family. She will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Ernest; her daughters Gail (Michael) Kalpac and Brenda (Ted) Murphy; her grandchildren Jason (Traci) Kalpac, Stephanie Kalpac, Kyle Murphy and Curtis Murphy; her great-grandchildren Madison Kalpac, Roeyn Kalpac and Cavan Kalpac; her sisters Marlene Rick, Carole Notch Barbara (Frank) Beiter and Janice Fravel and Kathleen (Nicholas) Morena ; her brothers Evan (Linda) McBeth, David (Sue) McBeth and Timothy (Kim) McBeth as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends. A celebration of Marcedes’ life will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home at 11A.M on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. The family will receive friends from 10A.M. until the time of the service.
