Mackey J. Laird

Mackey J. Laird, age 79 of Massillon passed away February 25, 2015. She was born January 18, 1936 in Frakes, KY to the late Lloyd & Pearl (Partin) McCullough. She married and moved to Massillon in 1955. Mackey opened her home and her heart to all and made everyone feel like family. Her greatest joy was being involved in the lives of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews – she was their biggest fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd 'Red' Laird 2008 and a daughter Penny Laird in 1986. Mackey is survived by two children and their spouses: Karen & Thomas Russell and Robert & Lisa Laird. Her grandchildren: Shannon (Brandon Fox) Russell, Sam (fiancée Mariana Silva) Russell, Mason Laird and Madison Laird and a close family friend, Larry McCauley. Funeral Service will be 2:30 PM Saturday at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Her final resting place will be Smithville, WV. Friends may call from 1 PM until the service at the funeral home.
