It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lynne A. Nunley, age 73, of Canton, Ohio (Jackson Twp). She passed away peacefully at Gables of Green Assisted Living Center on Saturday, June 22, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. A wonderful beacon of kindness and generosity, she has reunited with her beloved husband of over fifty years, K. Michael Nunley.

Lynne was born on September 6, 1950 in Canton, Ohio to the late Patricia (Antonille) Edwards and William Ronaldson. She was preceded in death by her brother James Ronaldson. Lynne lived in Canton her whole life attending St. Michael Elementary and Central Catholic. Survived by her only daughter Tricia (Bradley) Stanton, and her two grandchildren Brielle (13) and Luke (11).

Lynne dedicated her life to serving others through her involvement in numerous nonprofit organizations throughout her life including the Massillon Heritage Foundation, St. Joes Christian Mothers, St. Mary School PTA, Canton Rotary, Ulster Project Board Member, Shared Blessings, and as a member of the Affinity Hospital Community Board. More recently, she was a member of the Massillon Woman's Club, an Executive Board member of Project St. Nicholas Returns (PSNR), a volunteer for Hospice, a member of the Women in History Committee, a member of the Quota International Club of Massillon, and she believed strongly in Pastor Marilyn’s efforts and helping Hope Outreach Christian Ministries. Lynne's good deeds were done without need of acknowledgment or recognition. Her acts of kindness and generosity were selfless and heartfelt. Her unwavering commitment to community service touched countless lives, and her efforts have left an indelible mark on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Lynne worked for Citizen Savings Bank for much of her career serving local branches in the Stark county area. She also worked for the National Association of the Remodelers Industry (NARI), and for the American Cancer Society as their Northeast Ohio Regional Director most recently before she retired.

Lynne was a cherished friend to so many, known for her infectious laughter and boundless empathy. Her friends remember her as a source of unwavering support. Lynne's friendship and kindness radiated through every interaction, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her genuine warmth and empathy created a ripple effect of positivity, touching countless lives in profound ways. Those who experienced her friendship were forever changed, carrying forward the love and generosity she effortlessly bestowed. Lynne was special to each person she met. The void left by her passing is immeasurable, but her spirit will live on through the countless lives she has impacted.

She will be deeply missed by her loving family. Her family and grandchildren were the light of her life along with her Funday Monday friends, her Card Club High school friends, her ACS friends, her neighbors, her colleagues and friends from all her involvement.

The family would like to thank the Gables of Green for their wonderful commitment to Lynne and their kindness to Lynne’s family and friends. Special thanks to Traditions Hospice.

Calling hours to honor Lynne’s extraordinary life will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 6pm-8pm at Paquelet Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Divine Mercy Parish (St. Mary’s) at 10:30am on Thursday, June 27, 2024. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
