Lula Bell Harper, 85, passed away, Friday, November 6, 2020 following an extended illness. She was born on August 28, 1935 in Marfrance, WV to Allen and Icy Mae (Trout) Childers. Lula Bell worked at Wally Waffles and Lujan’s as a cook, but her favorite job of all was to be a wife, mother and grandmother. She was dedicated to her family and was known as a real prankster. She loved meeting people and never met a stranger. She is survived by her husband, Ronald F. Harper, whom she married on April 30, 1954, their children, Ronald A. Harper, Leroy (Sharon) Harper and Vanessa (Tim) Ensminger; nine grandchildren, Jeremy, Timmy, Tonya, Joey, Wesley, Ronnie, Ethan, Joel and Julie; five great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Wanda Steele and Frank Childers. In addition to her parents, Lula was preceded in death by her siblings, Delmas Childers, Frances Pittsenbarger, Allen Childers, Jr, Ollie Wyckle, Gray Crookshank, Ermal Bowles, Laura Brown and Sharon Bowles. As she would always say, “ If nothing happens in The Good Lord’s Will” , the family will receive friends on Wednesday November 11, 2020 from 10-11:30am with a funeral service to start at 11:30am in the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Facebook Live Streaming Burial will follow in Brookfield Cemetery. Continuing with COVID-19 precautions, all attending will be asked to follow proper social distancing protocol and masks are required.
