Lucille V. Mathias

Lucille V. Mathias, of Perry Township, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016, her 86th birthday. She was born in Dover, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Henry and Cora (Dessecker) Maurer. Along with her husband Don, they owned and operated Mathias Cycle Shop in Dover and Mathias Sports Center in Richville. She was a 4-H advisor, a Motor Maid and belonged to the Sing Wheels Motorcycle Club. She enjoyed gambling and spending time with her family. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Don and Floyd Maurer. Lucille is survived by her husband, Donald G. Mathias, with whom she celebrated 68 years of marriage on June 20th. Also surviving are 3 daughters, 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, her sister Carolyn (Tony) Mancuso and several nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate her life will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ridgecrest Memorial Gardens in Dover, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Lucille's family would like to thank Altercare of Noble's Pond, Absolute Therapy and Home Health and Absolute Hospice for the care that was given to her.
