Remembering……. LUCILLE GRETA CLARK was born May 14, 1921 in Ramer, Alabama, the third of six children, born to the union of the late Lemmon and Lucinda Hogan Walker. She was affectionately called “Aunt Sister.” LUCILLE graduated from Washington High School in the Class of 1940. She graduated as a member of the National Honor Society. She loved writing poetry, she was also on the basketball team and ran track. She was very proud of her accomplishments. LUCILLE accepted Christ and was baptized at Friendship Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. Wright. Lucille and her sister, Mary Francis sung as the Walker Sisters Gospel Singers. They sang all over Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan together. Rev. Wright encouraged, motivated and was determined to advance her singing career during that time. LUCILLE married Roosevelt Clark and moved to Midland, PA. She worked in fashion design for many years, working at Segels Fashion Boutique in Massillon. She was a fashionable diva and knew fashion so well, that many of the buyers would ask her to pick a “one-of-a-kind” dress or outfit for them. After working for Segels, she worked for Parisian’s high end fashion retail for over twenty years. LUCILLE was a role model and always set an example for young, African American women, motivating them to follow their dreams and how to be a lady. LUCILLE leaves to cherish her memories, her sister Mary Francis Furlow; daughter Dee Mack and granddaughter Shaluh Mack; She entrusted her life and care to her niece Dr. Phyllis Furlow Holmes; special nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her dearly. A special thanks to West Stark Health Services, especially Sharon, Joanne, and Becky. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. A Home Going Celebration will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Mt.
