Lucille Byer

Lucille (Benish) Byer, 91 of Massillon, passed away at home on Sunday, March 29, 2015 with her family at her side. She was born in Massillon on February 14, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Victor and Margaret (Kerza) Benish. Lucille was a homemaker and liked to travel, garden and decorate inside and outside for every occasion. She was a teddy bear collector and loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Faith Community Church in Canton. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine Byer, her brother Joseph Benish and her sisters, Irene Timney, Margaret Krotky and Elizabeth Lindsey. She is survived by her children, Blaine Byer, Jr., Bonnie Kirkbride, Thomas (Barb) Byer and Virgil (Linda) Byer. Also surviving are 24 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A service to celebrate her life will take place on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Pastor Eldon Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday (TONIGHT) from 6-8 P.M. and on Wednesday one hour before the service.
