Louise C. Trammell, 74, of Massillon was called home to be with the Lord on Friday March 27, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton. She was born October 3, 1934 in Apalachee, GA the daughter of Buddy and Jimmie Lou (McRay) Edwards. Louise had been an office assistant for Dr. Raymond Ballinger. She was blessed to be married to Alton Trammell October 14, 1967 and he survives. They would have been married 42 years this October. Also surviving are children Phillip T. Trammell, Jackie Edwards, Velinda (Kirk) Braithwaite all of Massillon, Alton (Carol) Trammell of Nevada, Darnell Trammell of Canton, Julian (Donna) Trammell of Columbus, OH, Darlene Harris, Taryn Trammell, Vincent Trammell all of California, Jon Richard Trammell of Massillon; sisters Alberta Chavers of California, and Shirley (Leroy) Alexander of Detroit, MI; brothers Carlton Elder of Cleveland, and Vernon (Karen) Edwards of Massillon; sister-in-law Hattie Trammell of Massillon; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Doris “Tensey” Elder, and Willie Maude Mapp, brothers Isaac Elder, Cornelius “Bobby” Elder, and James “Bo-Bo” Elder, daughter LaVonne Roberson, and brother-in-law Charles J. Trammell. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 12:00 P.M. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church with visitation there from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Rev. Joseph Harkless will officiate.
