Louise Helen (Riesterer) Miller, age 97 of Massillon, entered her eternal rest on Saturday, June 28, 2014. She was the last surviving sibling of twelve born to Nicholas and Marie (Colley) Riesterer in Wilmot, Ohio on October 31, 1916. Louise belonged to St. Mary's Rosary-Altar Society and along with her sister Marie Greenfelder was a charter member of St. Mary Quilting Group. She displayed courage and inspiration to others coping with diminishing sight and eventual blindness. Her children were lovingly presented with quilts and each grandchild received a graduation and wedding quilt, and great grandchildren and others baby quilts. Her legacy includes gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking, letter writing, friendship to many, and was a living example of St. Francis of Assisi. Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband Harry Tedford Miller, two sons Lawrence Arthur and Timothy John, and son-in-law Kenneth Hamel. She is survived by her children Janet L. (Miller) Hamel and James H. and Gwendolyn B. Miller; grandchildren Mark Miller, Connie Miller, Melissa and Brad Bartolone, Kendra and Michael Nasvadi, James B. Miller, Dorothy and Royden Kern and Katherine Miller; 14 great grandchildren; and her sister-in-law Marjorie Miller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Edward Gretchko Officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
