Louis Xavier Nelson TaBois, age 77 of St. Croix, Virgin Islands, died Wednesday morning at Affinity Medical Center-Massillon Campus. He was born on April 6, 1930 in Kingston, Jamaica and was the first of seven sons born to the late Victor Georges & Edna May (Chen) TaBois. Mr. TaBois was raised in Jamaica W.I. He graduated from St. George's College, relocated to St. Croix, the U.S. Virgin Islands, where he worked as a foreman for the Martin Marietta alumina processing plant until his retirement in 1986. He continued to reside with his wife Katherine in Fredricksted, St. Croix until his health failed in the latter part of 2006. He then relocated to Ohio to recuperate from a stroke. He leaves his wife of 36 years, Katherine E. (Adams) TaBois of Massillon, OH, his children from his first marriage to Eulalee Alexandria (Wong) TaBois, sons Louis Damien Ignatius TaBois and Victor Louis Augustine TaBois both of New York City and daughter Cecelia Ann Urbana TaBois of McLean, VA, two surviving brothers, Michael Franz TaBois of Montreal, Canada and Milton Andrew Christian TaBois of Kingston, Jamaica, his grandchildren Monique and Veronique Bonhomme, Sean, Danielle and Nicole TaBois and aunts, uncles and cousins worldwide. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, May 14, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Edward Gretchko celebrating.
