Louis Schiavone, age 79 , resident of Naples, Florida, passed away at his summer resident’s in Michigan on January 28, 2010. Son of the late Angelina and Carlo Schiavone, graduated, Timken High School 1948, served in the Air Force during the Korean War, and graduated from Kent State University in 1957. Survived by his wife Josephine ( Maccora ); Daughter Michelle Santeiu (Tim ); Sons ; Louis (Jessica); Joseph (Annemary);David (Jeanne) Schiavone. Grandchildren Josh, Brittney, Sara, Alex, Michael, Benjamin, Maria, Miranda, Alanna. Also survived by sisters Mary DeMario (Joe); Dolly DeMario (the late Phillip); Carol Edwards (Sid); Brothers, Jim (Josephine);Anthony; and Carl (Joan) Schiavone ; and many nieces and nephews. After a twenty year career with J.C.Penny ,Lou, with his wife Jo owned and operated several Ben Franklin stores in Indiana, where he also served as a Rotarian President and Elk’s trustee. In 1998, Lou and Jo with his sister Carol and her husband Sid opened the 2/$1 card shop in Country Fair. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd NE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Raymond Paul officiating. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Karmanos Cancer Institute-Hospice, 24601 Northwestern Highway, Southfield , MI 48075, or St. Jude Children Hospital.
