Louis H. Picot

Louis H. Picot, 63, passed away after a prolonged illness on December 15, 2015. He was born in Massillon on September 2, 1952 to the late Edward and Virginia (Ewing) Picot. Louis was a graduate of Jackson High School and attended Hiram College. He retired from the Massillon Police Department after twenty-five years of service. He enjoyed motor cycles and fishing. He served in the Ohio National Guard for more than twenty-five years retiring at the rank of Captain. He also coached youth basketball for many years. He is survived by his sons, Nathan Picot of Farmington Hills, MI and Christopher Picot of Columbus; a grandson, Michael Picot; former wife, Leslie Picot; and good friend, Susan Ullum. He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katie Picot. Friends will gather at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 1:30- 3:00pm with a Celebration of Life Service at 3:00pm, The Rev. Dr. Erwin Smuda.
