Louis F. "Fritz" Cooper

Louis F. "Fritz" Cooper, age 83 of North Lawrence, OH, died on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on October 4, 1929 in East Greenville and was the son of the late Warren F. and Mary Elizabeth (Agler) Cooper. Following his graduation from Washington High School, Fritz began working at Republic Steel. During the Korean Conflict he served with the U.S. Army in Germany. Upon his return, he continued working at Republic Steel, where he was a welder for 36 years. On June 30, 1956, he married the former Maysel V. Carr. She preceded him in death in 2007. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Jack Cooper, Wayne Cooper, Lee Cooper, Clyde Cooper, Jerry Cooper and Ethel Mae Graber. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sonya and Earl Ash, his grandchildren, Ethan Cooper Ash and Kenleigh Grace Ash and his sister, Betty L. Cooper. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no service. He will be interred beside his wife at East Greenville Cemetery.
