Lori Ann Barros, 63, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly at her home on January 10, 2024. She was born in Canton, Ohio, on April 3, 1960, to the late James A. and Sue A. (Dehanke) Robbins.
She was a 1978 graduate of Timken Senior High School. Lori was previously employed for eight years with Dunkin Donuts, but for the last two years, she was working as a cashier at Marc’s.
Lori was known for her bubbly personality, creativity, and large heart. She will be remembered as a caring and kind-hearted person. She had a contagious smile that could brighten up anyone's day, and a personality that could light up a room. She had unconditional love for not only her family, but for complete strangers who gravitated towards Lori.
She also loved flowers, crafting, shopping and honestly just lived life to the fullest.
Lori will leave behind a legacy of kindness and generosity as well as a profound impact on those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
She will be deeply missed by her beloved son and son-in-law, James & Jamie Newman; sister, Lisa Armstrong; her niece, Susan Wilson; nephew, Johnathan Robbins; her niece’s children who lovingly called her Grandma, De’Ontai, La’Montai and Kalin; her bestfriend, Terri Jones and the rest of the Jones’ family; as well as many dear friends; and her loyal, furry companion, Bella.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 16th from 5-7 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.
Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help the family with expenses.
