Lois Mary Steinbach, 90, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on August 19, 2021. Born in Massillon, Ohio, on February 17, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Sarah Remley. In addition to her parents, Lois is preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Don Steinbach, her daughter and closest confidant, Sheryl Black, her infant twins, Lynn and Linda Steinbach, and her sister Marilyn Winter. Lois was the epitome of a fashion icon. Her colorful scarves matched her vibrant personality. Lois was a 1949 graduate of Washington High School where she met the love of her life, Don, in study hall during her junior year. Always holding hands, Lois and Don proudly built a life together. Lois was the bookkeeper for Don’s contracting company. She was a devoted wife and mother. The two retired together to Arizona where they enjoyed the warm weather and company of family and friends for 31 years. After Don’s death, Lois moved back to Ohio to be closer to family. Family is what mattered most to Lois. Lois’s family extended far beyond her immediate family. Many considered her a mother, sister, and Arizona Grandma. Lois’s unfaltering faith was evident in every aspect of her life.
