Lois Kathleen Lindsay

Lois K. Lindsay, age 93 of Newman, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born on February 19, 1925 in Newman to the late Edward and Violet (Stock) Sherret. She was also blessed with a wonderful step mother Carrie Sherret. Lois worked at Ohio Optical but gave up her career to take care of her husband and daughter. Lois was a lifelong member of Newman Baptist Church where she was treasurer for 45 years. She also served as choir director. Lois enjoyed camping, and traveling. She was known to be a good cook and you could usually find her in the kitchen. Her home was always open to family and friends. There was always someone coming in the door or calling. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd R. Lindsay; brother, Raymond Sherret; and sister, Marie Kahler. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Karen (Jeff) Kilgore; and many special nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great – great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the family, friends, neighbors and especially Pam Skibicki for all their support and care. A Celebration of Lois’s life will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Newman Baptist Church. Private interment will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Saturday from 6-8 p.m. and on Sunday from 2-3 p.m. at the church.
