Lois Jean Tissot, age 77, of Tuscarawas Township, passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 22, 2013. Lois was born on May 23, 1935 in Massillon the daughter of the late Andrew and Susan (Sedjo) Bednar. Lois was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1953 graduate of Washington High School. She was a co-owner of Tissot Excavating and Navarre Rd. Storage working with her two sons and her husband Glen for 35 years. Lois loved camping at Clay's Park and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Donnie, Andy, and Gary Bednar. She is survived by her husband, Glen Tissot with whom she married on October 20, 1956; her children and their spouses, Vickie (Bob) Schaer, G. Michael (Vicki) Tissot and Scott (Connie) Tissot; her grandchildren, Kylie, Chelsie, Brock, Scottie, Kelsie, and Alivia; her sisters, Betty Hattery, Evelyn Kulick, Nancy (Dave) Miller, and Linda Smer; her brother, Richard Bednar; her sister-in-laws, Shirley and Millie Bednar; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church. Her pastor, Rev. John Telloni will be officiating. Burial will follow at Brookfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Friday from 5-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
