Lois Jean Paulus
March 2, 1941 — August 30, 2015
Lois Paulus, age 74, passed away on August 30, 2015. She was born in Warren, OH on March 02, 1941 to the late John and Esther (Wagoner) Barkan. Lois graduated from Washington High School in 1959. She married Emerson Paulus on August 23, 1959 and they shared 39 years together until his passing in 1998. Lois worked as an interior designer and served as a volunteer in a variety of positions. She was the manager at the Massillon Club, an Executive Director of YWCA and a local supporter of the Massillon Ten Star Theater and also worked for the Wayne Center for the Arts until her retirement. Lois is survived by her sons; Tim (Lorraine) Paulus and Ken (Terri) Paulus; her grandchildren Emily (Justin) Roberts, Natalie, Mitchel and Zoey Paulus, a great-grandchild Max Roberts her sisters Edna (Dave) Moledor and Phyllis (Dan) Stipe; her brothers John (Alice) Barkan and James (Candy) Barkan; as well as a host of relatives and friends. A Celebration of her life will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon on Thursday, September 03, 2015 at 11a.m. Pastor Chip Belanga officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 02, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
