Lois Irene Mitchell

Lois Irene Mitchell, 79 of Akron, formerly of Massillon, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017. Lois was born on July 31, 1937 in Massillon, the daughter of the late George W. and Margaret A. (Schoen) Howard. She was a 1955 graduate of Washington High School. Lois worked for the City of Akron. She enjoyed reading and needlework. Lois was a member of the Warm Up Barberton sewing group. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Mitchell and her sister, Barbara Howard. She is survived by her brother, George (Sharen) Howard; her nephew, Brian Howard; her niece, Lisa Rohr; and her special friend, Martha Porter. A Celebration of Lois's life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 3 p.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home: 1100 Wales Rd. N.E., Massillon, OH 44646. Private interment will take place at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens at a later date.
