Lloyd F. “Woody” Woods, age 88 of Massillon, died on Monday, January 12, 2009 at the Laurels of Massillon. He was born on May 29, 1920 in Youngwood, PA and was the son of the late Maxie and Estella (Poole) Woods. He was a Massillon resident since 1940. He owned and operated Woody’s Auto Service. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Clinton Lodge F.& A.M. #47, Scottish Rite Valley of Canton and the Canton Antique Automobile Club. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Freda A. Woods to whom he had been married to since August 1, 1942 and his brothers, twins, Robert Woods and Harry Woods. He is survived by his sons and daughters in law, Lloyd F. “Frank” (Madeline) Woods, Jr. of Canton and James R. (Leona) Woods of Massillon, his grandchildren, Scott (Anita) Woods, Mike (Eileen) Woods, Rick (Kristie) Woods and Traci (Bob) Bernard, his great grandchildren, David (Rebecca) Woods, Ryan Woods, Amanda Woods, Karly Woods, Kyle Woods and his sisters, Alma Parsons and Maxine Williamson. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Dr. William Harvey officiating. Burial will follow at Ft. Steuben Cemetery in Wintersville, Ohio. Friends may call at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Tuesday (TONIGHT) from 6-8 P.M. and on Wednesday one hour before the service.
