Lisa R. Jackson Orume Moody, 49, of Massillon, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023. Lisa was born on June 28,1974 in Findlay, Ohio the daughter of Jane Kingery and Vernon Lorison Moody. She was a 1992 graduate of Elmwood High School where she graduated with honors. She graduated from Bowling Green University with an associate degree in business. She also worked in Health Care for many years. She moved to Massillon in 2010 from Toledo, Ohio where she met her best friend/husband Isaiah Jackson, Jr. of 17 years. Lisa was a gifted pianist and singer. She loved her kids; Jasmine Orume, Engelbert “Bert” Orume, Isaiah Jackson III, and Ahmani Jackson. Lisa also touched many young people’s lives.

Lisa is preceded in death by her grandparents; Vernon Kingery, and Betty Kingery; father-in-law, Isaiah Akpan Jackson, Sr.; brother, Timothy Moody; special son, Tobias Evans; confidants, Miss Juanita Hill and Tyrone Hill, Miss D. Lowery and Otis Lowery; and her beloved fur baby, Zeus.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her grandchildren, Gio, Bowen, and Brighton; dad, Daniel Corbin I; siblings, Julie (John) Miller Moody, Lorison (Ann) Moody, Daniel (Cameron) Corbin II, and Beth Anne Moody; special sister, Tasha Richardson and sons, Taivon, and Keivon; nieces, Taelar Steele, Essie Miller, and McKenzie Moody; nephew, Elijah Moody; mother-in-law, Isalene Trotter Jackson; brother-in-law, Usen Jackson; adopted daughters, Lacey Shamel, Joseline Stanley, and Kamyiah Martin; special grandchildren, Zamarion, Zakari, Zalayah, and Zahavah; a special friend Gyn Smith; children like her own, Robert Dies, Ryan Dies and Jyannah Elder; and Zoey August; and special aunts, Jean Kingery and Pam Spry; favorite niece and nephew, Jayceon Terry and Ma-Kayla Star,

A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 12 pm (NOON) at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to gather at the funeral home from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. before the service. The repass will follow at Cornerstone Baptist Church: 3955 Wales Avenue NW, Massillon, Ohio 44646.
