Linnett Massey

Linnett Massey, 58, of Canton, received her Heavenly Wings on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. Linnett was born on February 17, 1964 in Massillon, the daughter of the late Homer and Edna (Miller) Spencer. She was a 1982 graduate of Washington High School. Linnett was a diehard Amazonian and she also loved going to the casino, going to her three favorite stores, Aldi's, Dollar Tree, and Hair World. Linnett loved her ID channel and was an internet researcher and enjoyed traveling. Linnett loved to dance and had a beautiful smile that would light up any room.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Willie Spencer Sr. and her granddaughter, Trinity Spencer.

She is survived by her loving husband, Blake A. Massey, whom she shared 10 years of marriage; children, Taniesha (Clyriesha) Gardener, Shante Spencer, Sirverry Wright Sr., Thomas Williams Jr., Andron Massey, Katrease Massey; 18 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Marie Hall, Robert Spencer, Jerry (Lydia) Spencer Sr., Ricky Spencer, Ronnie (Karen) Spencer, and Valerie McGuire; and special friend Precynthia Waters.

A Home Going Celebration will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 11:00 am at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Canton. The family will receive friends at the church from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Massillon. Messages of comfort and support may be sent to the family at www.paquelet.com.
