Linda Lee Camarata

Linda Lee Camarata, 68, of Massillon, passed away on January 14, 2025. A lifelong resident of Massillon, she was born on July 23, 1956 to the late William and Janet {Lewis} Geschwind. 

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her beloved parents-in-law Joe and Joann Cammarata.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Paul; daughter Melissa (Zach) Marceric; grandson Camdyn Marceric; sisters Mary Griest and Wilma Maxhimer; siblings-in-law Tom Camarata, Julie Camarata, Toni (Rick) Roberts, Ricci (Karen) Camarata, Kevin (Venus) Camarata and Jodi (Dave) Ramsey; many nieces and nephews and their families. 

Linda was a 1974 graduate of Massillon Washington High School, and remained an avid Massillon Tiger fan all her life. She had a 34 year career with Massillon Community Hospital before her retirement in 2008.

Linda was a huge fan of re-purposing and fixing things, from discarded furniture to household objects...yes, even the toilet. She learned a lot of her "skills" from watching her dad, Bill. 

Linda may have only been on Melissa's birth certificate, but she was a Mom to everyone. She embraced all of Melissa's friends growing up, and was always on the sidelines as a team mom, snack supplier and biggest cheerleader. She loved being Gigi to "Hurricane Camdyn", and Linda and Paul were often referred to as Papa and Gigi to all of their many "framily" members.

Linda's family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the nursing and oncology staff at Aultman Hospital, Timken Cancer Center for their compassionate care of Linda in her final journey. 

Family and friends are invited to visit at Paquelet Funeral Home 1100 Wales Rd. NE on Monday, January 20 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 21 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Timothy Pell officiating. A committal service will follow in the mausoleum chapel at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens, where Linda will be laid to rest.
