Lillian R. Simon

Lillian R. Simon, age 92 of Massillon, died on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Aultman Hospital. She was born in Massillon on January 2, 1919 and was the daughter of the late Edward and Hannah Kouth. Lillian was the matriarch over five generations of family members. The greatest joy of her life was spending time with her family and friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Simon her grandson Joey Kovacsiss, her son-in-law Robert Kovacsiss, Sr., her sister, Loretta Maupin and her brothers, Louis and Willard Kouth. Lillian is survived by her daughter, Patricia Kovacsiss, her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Marlyn Simon, her grandchildren, Cathy (Todd) Beckett, Robert (Tami) Kovacsiss, Jr., Mark Kovacsiss and Ashley Simon, her great grandchildren, Lea, Keri and Jamie Kovacsiss and Amber (Joseph) Warstler, Brian and Caitlin Beckett and her great great granddaughter, Raelyn Beckett. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Merle Latham with whom she resided. A service to celebrate the life of Lillian Simon will take place on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon with father Thomas Cebula officiating.
