Lillian Frances Jones

Lillian F. Jones, age 84 of Jackson Township, passed away July 16, 2012. Lillian was born on August 19, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Hugo and Lillian (Anderson) Benson. She was a graduate of Harrison High School in Harrison NY. She married William D. Jones on November 19, 1950 and they were together until his passing in May 2007. Lillian, who had a fantastic sense of humor, a keen eye for good clothes and shoes, was a one-time model and artist. She was always impeccably dressed. She was a favorite at many stores, her favorite Beauty Salon, Hillside and in her doctors and dentists offices, she enjoyed people and they enjoyed her. She was involved in the Lyons Club women's group in Steubenville, Ohio and other charitable organizations during her years in Pennsylvania and New York. She loved her four cats, and treated them like her own, calling them her "furry children". She was a homemaker, a devoted wife and mother to her daughter, Deborah Lynne Konkos-Aplin and her son-in law Michael J. Konkos (predeceased in 2010). Lillian is survived by one niece, Pamela J. Parscal of Manor, Texas and was predeceased by her brother, Dr. Roland A.H. Benson of Austin, Texas. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon at 12:00 noon. The Pastor Robert Brigham will be officiating.
