Letha M. Russ

Letha M. Russ, 79 of Perry Township, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Letha was born on August 7, 1937 in Sumter, SC the daughter of the late Marion and Dora Hood. Letha retired from Kmart after 22 years of service. She enjoyed dancing, card club, entertaining, cruises, and spending time with her family. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Benenhaley, and her brothers, Burnette and Harvey Hood. She is survived by her loving husband, Tim L. Russ whom she shared 50 years of marriage; her children, Marsha (Fred) Steiner, Teresa (Larry) Wasmire, Jeff (Aura) Oxendine, Kelly (Scott) Dukich, and Carol (Howard) Stickley; grandchildren, Scott, Jennifer, and Brian Steiner, and Savanna, Davie, and Joslyn Dukich; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Shelby Douglas, Blanche Ray, and Mary Benenhaley; and brothers, Russell (Shirley) Hood and Riley Hood. The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at Aultman ICU for their compassion and care. A Celebration of Letha's life will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 12 – 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kidney Foundation of Ohio at www.kfohio.org.
